All checks submitted for deposit through Express Deposit (Mobile Check Deposit) must include:

What is Express Deposit - Mobile Check Deposit?

Express Deposit - Mobile Check Deposit allows members to deposit checks using the integrated camera on their mobile device. With Express Deposit - Mobile Check Deposit you can deposit a check to your savings, checking or loan account.

How do I access Express Deposit - Mobile Check Deposit?

Express Deposit - Mobile Check Deposit is accessible within the JSC FCU Mobile App. Just open your left hand menu and choose the Express Deposit button.

What connection is necessary to use Express Deposit - Mobile Check Deposit?

A 3G connection will work for Express Deposit, however a Wifi or 4G connection will provide better performance.

How do I capture the best check image?
  • Ensure the check is as flat as possible
  • Place the check against a dark, non-reflective surface.
  • Hold your device as steady as possible when taking the picture.
  • Ensure that the picture taken is clear and captures the entire check, retry the photo if the image is not sufficient quality.
  • Ensure the check is endorsed and write "For Mobile Deposit Only at JSC Federal Credit Union".
Why are deposits held for review?

All Express Deposits are reviewed prior to posting to your account. This is equivalent to a teller reviewing your check deposit when you come into a solution center.

After your deposit is reviewed, it will either be credited to the account you indicate when making the Express Deposit, or it could be sent back to you.

If your deposit is accepted, your account will typically be credited within a couple of hours during our normal operating hours (Monday-Friday). Deposits are subject to our normal Funds Availability policy and might not be available for immediate withdrawal.

If your deposit is sent back to you, we will notify you by email or by phone. Please ensure that both your email address and phone number on file are current.

Can I deposit more than one check at a time?

Yes, you may deposit as many checks as you like. You will need to perform the same steps for each check. If you would like to deposit another check to a different account (for the same member) you can return to the deposit account selection screen, where you can pick a different account from the drop down.

What do I do with the physical check after I have made my Express Deposit?

We will use the digital image of the check to credit your account. You must retain the physical check for 30 days in case there are any issues with the image presentment. After 30 days, please void or destroy the physical check.

Are there any limits to the amount of the check I can deposit?

You may deposit checks in amounts up to $5,000. Any check deposited over this amount will not be accepted.


*JSC FCU reserves the right to restrict access at our sole discretion. Maximum single check deposit amount is $5,000. All checks will be reviewed prior to posting to your account. Approved checks will post to your account by the end of the following business day (holds may apply). If your deposit is rejected for any reason, JSC FCU will contact you at the daytime phone number on file or email address. Please ensure your contact information is current.
