Mobile Wallet - Mobile Payment Options* 

Easy, Safe and Secured - Use your JSC FCU Visa Card with one of our mobile wallet methods to make purchases at participating merchants in-person or online. These methods are easy to use with the benefits of being safe and secured by tokenization. Your card information is never provided to the merchant. Instead, tokenization replaces your sensitive card data with unique identification symbols called a payment token which is used for your purchase. 

 

Android Pay* 

 

How to Get Started** and Use Android Pay: 

Get Started** 

    1. Go to Google Play from your compatible device and install the Android Pay App.
    2. Use your device's camera to take a picture of your JSC FCU VISA Credit or Debit Card (you can also enter the card details manually).
    3. For authorization, you will scan your fingerprint and enter a PIN for future purchases.
    4. You will be prompted to call a JSC FCU member services coordinator to activate your card. A member service coordinator can be reached at 281.488.7070 option 4. Hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and Saturday 9am -1pm.

For all purchases under $30, hold your phone over the payment terminal. Fingerprint or PIN are not required. 

How to use in-person 

    1. Look for the Pay Wave® or Android Pay symbol at checkout at participating merchants and hold your device up to the contactless reader.
    2. Place your finger on your device's Touch IDTM or enter your password.
    3. Keep your device next to the contactless reader until it indicates that the payment is completed.

How to use within Apps 

When checking out, select Android Pay as the payment method and place your finger on the Touch IDTM

Good to Know:
    • It is recommended to keep your plastic card with you in case the merchant does not accept this payment method or your phone battery dies. 
    • To use Android Pay, use a compatible Android Phone with the supported operating system. 
    • Android Pay will only work at merchants with NFC(near field communication) contactless payment terminals. Just make sure your phone is unlocked and hold it to the terminal - you don't even need to open the app. 
    • Your card details are never shared when this payment method is used. This makes it safer and secure to pay with your compatible Android device.

Apple Pay* 

 

How to Get Started** and Use Apple Pay

Get Started** 

    1. Open the Passbook® App on your compatible device.
    2. Swipe down and press the plus sign to add your JSC FCU VISA Credit or Debit Card.
    3. Use your device's camera to take a picture of your card (you can also enter the card details manually).
    4. You will be prompted to call a JSC FCU member services coordinator to activate your card. A member service coordinator can be reached at 281.488.7070 option 4. Hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and Saturday 9am -1pm.

If you credit or debit card is already saved in your iTunes account, you can add the card by simply entering the card's security code located on the back of the card.

How to use in-person 

    1. Look for the Pay Wave® or Apple Pay symbol at checkout at participating merchants and hold your device up to the contactless reader.
    2. Place your finger on your device's Touch IDTM or enter your password.
    3. Keep your device next to the contactless reader until it indicates that the payment is completed. Your device will vibrate, beep and show a check mark when the transaction is successful.

How to use within apps

When checking out, select the Apple Pay as the payment method and place your finger on the Touch IDTM. 

Good to Know:
    • It is recommended to keep your plastic card with you in case the merchant does not accept this payment method or your phone battery dies. 
    • Apple Pay is simple to use and works with devices you use every day. With a simple touch, you can make purchases in-store and online.
    • To use Apple Pay, use a compatible Apple device with the supported operating system. 
    • Apple Pay transactions only take a few seconds. Just hold your compatible iPhone or Apple Watch near the payment terminal and place your finger on the iPhone's Touch IDTM or double click the side button on your Apple Watch. 
    • Your card details are never shared when this payment method is used. This makes it safer and secure to pay with your compatible Apple device. 
    • If your device is ever lost, you can use Find My iPhone to quickly put your device in Lost Mode which suspends Apple Pay. You can also wipe your device completely.

Microsoft Wallet* 

 

How to Get Started** and Use Mircosoft Wallet

Get Started** 

    1. If Microsoft Wallet is not pre-installed on your compatible Windows device, go to the Microsoft Store and install the app.
    2. Swipe right or left to select Payment 
    3. Tap the + sign on the bottom right of the screen to add your JSC FCU VISA Credit or Debit Card
    4. Choose Credit or Debit from the pop up box 
    5. Use your device's camera to take a picture of your card (you can also enter the card details manually).
    6. You will be prompted to call a JSC FCU member services coordinator to activate your card. A member service coordinator can be reached at 281.488.7070 option 4. Hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and Saturday 9am -1pm.

How to use in-person 

    1. Look for the contactless payment symbol or Microsoft Wallet logo at checkout at participating merchants and hold your device up to the contactless reader.
    2. Unlock your phone using the iris scanner or enter your password. 
    3. Navigate to the Microsoft Wallet app and swipe up or down to choose the card you want to use.
    4. Keep your device next to the contactless reader until it indicates that the payment is completed. Your device will say done and show a check mark when the transaction is successful.
Good to Know:
    • It is recommended to keep your plastic card with you in case the merchant does not accept this payment method or your phone battery dies.
    • To use Microsoft Wallet, use a compatible Windows Phone with the supported operating system. 
    • With Microsoft Wallet, simply tap your phone on a contactless payment terminal and your default credit or debit card is charged. 
    • Your payment card numbers aren't stored in your Microsoft Wallet so others can't use it if your device is ever lost. 
    • Your card details are never shared when this payment method is used. This makes it safer and secure to pay with your compatible Windows device.

Samsung Pay* 

 

How to Get Started** and Use Samsung

Get Started** 

    1. If Samsung Pay is not pre-installed on your compatible Samsung device, go to Google Play and install the Samsung Pay app.
    2. Use your device's camera to take a picture of your JSC FCU VISA Credit or Debit Card (you can also enter the card details manually).
    3. For authorization, you will scan your fingerprint and enter a PIN. You may also be required to provide a signature. 
    4. You will be prompted to call a JSC FCU member services coordinator to activate your card. A member service coordinator can be reached at 281.488.7070 option 4. Hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and Saturday 9am -1pm.

How to use in-person 

    1. This is accepted at any merchant that accepts cards with magnetic strips.
    2. Go into your Samsung Pay App.
    3. Select the card you want to use by swiping through your saved cards. 
    4. Keep your device next to the payment terminal until it indicates that the payment is completed.

How to use within apps

When checking out, select the Samsung Pay as the payment method and place your finger on the Touch IDTM. 

Good to Know:
    • It is recommended to keep your plastic card with you in case the merchant may not accept this payment method or if you phone battery dies.
    • To use Samsung Pay, use a compatible Android phone with the supported operating system. 
    • Make purchases with this payment method almost anywhere you can swipe or tap to pay - making this the most accepted mobile payment. 
    • Your card details are never shared when this payment method is used. This makes it safer and secure to pay with your compatible Samsung device.

*For Debit Cards, overdraft can occur while using any of our Mobile Wallet methods. Maximum limit per day is $2,500. Please reference the JSC FCU VISA Debit Card & ATM Card Agreement and Fee Schedule. For Credit Cards, the limit will be based on the available amount on the card. Please reference the credit card disclosure section on the JSC FCU Platinum Credit Card Application for complete card details. All Mobile Wallet methods are only available for credit-based transactions. **When setting up any Mobile Wallet method, for security purposes it may be required to call the credit union to complete the application process.
